Advent Retreat Day at Sacred Heart Church: all welcome

We will be having a retreat day on Saturday, November 30th.  The day will begin with Mass at 12 noon. There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament all afternoon in Church, with the opportunity for confession or conversation with a priest. In the hall there will be refreshments and also a Taize themed prayer space, outside in the parish grounds there will be prayer stations, each with an image or word from Advent to reflect upon, so the individual can make a journey with the Holy Family.  In the log cabin there will be an icon prayer space with the opportunity to reflect prayerfully on a sacred image. In the poly tunnel there will be a lectio prayer space with passages of Scripture relating to Advent: the polytunnel is a place of waiting and growth.  At 5pm there will be Rosary and Benediction and at 5.30pm there will be a Vigil Mass where Tim Byron SJ will be our guest preacher.
