SAFE receives Grant from Charitable Fund

We heard on Thursday that we have been awarded a Grant of £10,000 by a charitable fund set up by an individual based in London.  The money will be used to fund a part time music teacher and vocal coach who will develop the music project further reaching out to more young people on the margins.  The money will also help us to carry out work on our electrics which is going to require a major overhaul.  Fr Andrew Co-Founder of SAFE said "This is an incredibly generous donation from an individual who heard about us through friends. I met with her in the summer to explain what we are about and she has been really inspired and wants to support us. I think what impresses people most about SAFE is we are not just talking about something we might do, we are doing it and it's changing young people's lives. Pope Francis recently spoke about giving young people hope: well this is our attempt to do just that!"
